Anthurium papillilaminum are eaves are generally deep olive green and are sometimes tinged with red. This seed parent of this plant was a true papillilaminum, but its pollen parent is unknown.
Velvet leaf Anthuriums such as this one need very specific conditions to thrive. This is not an easy care plant. If you live in the southern states of Australia, we recommend a humidifier, greenhouse, or similar to house your velvet leaf anthuriums. These plants are endemic to the tropics, and therefore require warmth and humidity to grow. Some collectors push the limits of these plants, growing them in below optimal conditions, but we don’t recommend this unless you are an experienced grower.
