This plant is a clone of the parent plant (they have the same genetics), as it was propagated via stem cutting. The parent plant is shown in the last few photos labeled ‘G423’.
Velvet leaf Anthuriums such as this one need very specific conditions to thrive. This is not an easy care plant. If you live in the southern states of Australia, we recommend a humidifier, greenhouse, or similar to house your velvet leaf anthuriums. These plants are endemic to the tropics, and therefore require warmth and humidity to grow. Some collectors push the limits of these plants, growing them in below optimal conditions, but we don’t recommend this unless you are an experienced grower.
