This jewel alocasia has stiff, long, lance shaped, cupped leaves. Its deep green leaves become lighter towards the leaf margin, and like all jewel alocasia, this plant will remain fairly compact in height.
The plant pictured is a representation of the plant you will receive.
The care of this plant is similar to most other alocasia. It does appreciate some humidity (but its not essential), direct light only, and its fussy with watering. Requires well-draining soil.
Alocasia will rot if you keep them too wet, but also don’t like to completely dry out between waterings. Best to check the moisture content before watering by simply digging your finger into the soil, and only watering when the top ~4 cm of soil is dry.
It’s also best to keep this plant warm (above 15 C), as it will become dormant if it gets too cold. Should this happen, the plant will re-grow when the temperature warms up.
