Anthurium forgetii are known for their leaves without upper lobes and an open sinus, giving them a distinct tear-drop shape. These plants are all Forgetii x, and come from different parents. Some exhibit the leaf shape of a true Forgetii, while others show variations on this.
The plant pictured is the one you will receive.
Velvet leaf anthuriums like this need very specific conditions to thrive. This is not an easy-care plant. If you live in Australia’s southern states, we recommend a humidifier, greenhouse, or similar to house your velvet leaf anthuriums. These plants are endemic to the tropics, and require warmth and humidity to grow. Some collectors push the limits of these plants, growing them in below-optimal conditions, but we don’t recommend this unless you are an experienced grower.
