All plants available here are clones of the parent plant (they have the same genetics), as they were propagated via stem cuttings. Base stem cuttings were used during propogation, and hence the clones have strong root system which will result in them sizing up quickly. The parent plant is shown in the first photo labeled ‘B5’.
The plant pictured here is the plant you will receive.
Velvet leaf anthuriums like this need very specific conditions to thrive. We don’t recommend this plant for brown thumbs. If you live in Australia’s southern states, we recommend a humidifier, greenhouse, or similar to house your velvet leaf anthuriums. These plants are endemic to the tropics, and require warmth and humidity to grow. Some collectors push the limits of these plants, growing them in below-optimal conditions, but we don’t suggest this unless you are an experienced grower.
